A rattlesnake living in the intake manifold on a friends ‘79 Chevy truck that had been sitting in a field for 2 years. No photos. Ran. Sorry.

First car (2001 Kia Rio) - So apparently the previous owner learned the engine cooling fan no longer worked. In his infinite wisdom, he decided to wire up a weak electric fan to replace it. Yeaaaaah, that fan worked about as much as an Asthmatic mouse breathing on you as an air con.

That is a special kind of stupid.

I mean, it was attached to the radiator? lol Seriously, the only way the electric fan ever made a difference was to have it run at max speed all the time...and that required running the air con all the time. Otherwise, the fan only moved at like a snail speed.

Numerous mouse carcasses plus their shit, live mice, and I’m not sure how but there was a mouse nest inside of the airbox of my Mustang GT, that I bought brand new, the first time I went to change its air filter. Ah, that reminds me that there was also a mouse nest inside the rear quarter panels of my Camaro. I found it when I went to cut out the rust. That car also had live mice in its exhaust pipes that ran out when I went to move it.

Found a GPS tracker in a used WRX I used to own. I had to pull the dash in order to fix a cracked firewall weld and it was inside the dash. Weird.

Wish I could. This was a few years back. Since then he’s been divorced and kicked off the property. He got his C3 Corvette and out in pieces, but I haven’t seen the truck since, so I’m assuming it might still be sitting there, and... well let’s just say this isn’t the kind of place you just go back to to take a picture without asking... photo from the last time I was over there right around the snake incident...

Not as bad as yours, but a rat’s nest inside the fresh air duct of a 65 Falcon.

When I was a kid one morning my mom was starting the car to take me to school. All of a sudden we hear this awful cry, see a bunch of black and white fur and a black cat hauling buty away from the car. OK, there is the black cat...where is the white one? Needless to say it took us a couple of minutes to finally open the hood and look around.
We couldn’t find anything except some more fur and that was it. So we just crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. After school was out I went to see if I could find the white cat as it was my next door neighbor’s. Having no luck I went next door to them to check on the black cat. It was laying on a pillow looking sad and the right side of it was missing all it’s fur. I looked closer and it had white under fur and long black fur on top. So luckily, it was only one cat after all that almost went to kitty heaven via fan belt. From then on we made much more noise getting in the car in the morning.
(Of course my mom had to beat all that by telling me about the time she went to the drive-in, kept hearing meowing and found a kitten griping the air filter for dear life when they popped the hood. Cats like crawling up into cars.)

The small list:
-Still moist vibratory (power outlet pluggable)
-about 200 baby spiders feeding from a Lunchables kit
-a empty gallon of milk (was full, soaked in carpet for 3 day in the heat of Texas)
- a dead 5 foot python behind dash
-a dead possum behind dash
-small boys stash of soiled underwear
-a rats nest
-2 live tarantulas
- a dead 45 year old woman from a self inflicted shotgun wound to the head still in driver’s seat (blood everywhere, installed new interior bits after hazmat cleaning)
again, this the the small list

I had a machine shop charge me $1 for Mouse nest removal on a pair of BBC heads. It was more of a joke than an actual charge.

It wasn’t too bad. The shop vac made short work of it. What I’m worried about is corrosion from mouse pee. Salt+water=electrolyte, so I’m a little worried about the corrosive effect on the manifold interior. It’s going to have to come off to be cleaned.

Ummmmm.......... The two live tarantulas sounds like the least bad.

Helping my Dad strip the interior from his 1985 Merkur so that it could be caged. Pulled of the passengers rear interior panel to find that the inside of the rear quarter panel was a giant rats nest. That wasn’t fun to clean out.

A mouse decided to deposit about 3 pounds of sun flower seeds inside the carb and intake of our Snowblower. Of course my dad tried starting it. Luckily, it is an old toro and it sent most of them out the exhaust.

A live possum. When I find the picture I’ll post it.
I started the 525i one day and heard squealing under the hood. I popped it open, looked inside, and saw a pissed-off pair of eyes staring back at me. I closed the hood and called animal control.
The damage was fairly minor, but I did have to replace some ducting to the alternator and some other minor plastic parts.

I knew going into it that I was going to find some broken parts, didn’t realize how many broken parts I would actually find. Thought I took more pictures as well, but can’t seem to find them.
This was an engine from an ATC200x, the previous owner was a racer so I suspect that’s what did this engine in. Like I said, I knew that it was seized up when I bought it, but I was quite surprised at the amount of damage I found. This had to have been one violent stop. Damage was as follows; Single piece connecting rod was broken into at least three pieces, and the largest part was wedged in between the crankshaft weights, this is what caused the engine to seize. The piston was cracked in several places, the cylinder sleeve was cracked in at least four places as well. The flywheel key was sheered off, and the side case was also cracked and missing several of the casting ribs. Needless to say I determined it was a lost cause and traded it for a 185s engine that just needed to be assembled.
